               7 hardy souls turned up during a rainfall that had lasted the entire night before. We set out on the soggy course in a steady light rain during the first nine holes, but we were fortunate that it stopped for the second nine. The threesome went off first and moved very quickly around the course … which resulted in them waiting for almost an hour for the foursome to finish and join them.
               Tom Berger took second place with 32 points, while Jim Hopkins took first place with 33 points.  In accordance with the 16 August decision (by a vote), prizes will only be paid to players submitting a score within their buffer zone.  Since Tom was unfortunately not within his buffer zone, the money for 2nd place will be put into the pot for our competition on next Tuesday.
